About

Olga Yarovaya’s works leave no one indifferent who has ever encountered her astonishing characters. Bright and full of life, they radiate energy, character, and soul.
Olga Yarovaya is an artist, now living and working in Odessa. She has developed a unique, signature technique of mosaic collage. Her artworks are composed of labels, old documents, sheet music, tickets, and recycled paper. This approach allows her to create landscapes, portraits, nudes, as well as fantastical characters—from paper-made Native Americans to toadstools. At first glance, her pieces might appear to be paintings or drawings, but the true magic is revealed only up close.
Olga Yarovaya received a solid artistic education: in 2007, she graduated from the Odessa Art School named after M. B. Grekov, and in 2011, from the Kyiv National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, specializing as a “sculpture restorer.” She also worked with mosaics in one of the Crimean monasteries, gaining valuable experience in creating three-dimensional compositions.
Her works are held in private collections in Ukraine, the USA, Germany, Italy, and France. Exhibitions of her collage-inlay works—made from newspapers, magazines, and other recycled paper—attract attention with their unconventional artistic approach and high level of craftsmanship. As the artist herself says, “If you don’t have paint, you can use paper”—and this is precisely the essence of her unique mastery. She often sources materials for her collages at Starokonka market, allowing her to create masterpieces both economically and sustainably.
